Congregation Beth Israel Sunday School Honors Martin Luther King, Jr. With a Morning Service
2012-01-27 / Front Page
Sunday school students in grades K through 6 learned first-hand about community service during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. They worked together to prepare lunches for Oasis, a drop-in center providing assistance to Atlantic City residents who are in need. The youngest children decorated lunch bags. Some students bagged and counted snacks, while others made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. By the end of the morning, the students had made 100 lunches, which were delivered that day.
