Following up on the success of Congregation Beth Judah’s “Shabbat on the Rocks,” the synagogue will present “Shabbat on the Rocks, Winter Version.” Usually the Friday evening Kiddush is recited either at the end of the service or in the home. Congregation Beth Judah tweeks that custom a bit on Friday evening, Jan. 27. Drinks (margaritas and piña coladas) and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m., with services following at 6:45 p.m. There will be non-alcoholic beverages available as well.
