Sam Park Exhibition in Stone Harbor
“La Pergola”
Internationally exhibited and widely collected painter Sam Park will be at Ocean Galleries Labor Day weekend for his “Romance with the Sea” exhibition. The collection of seaside and landscape paintings inspired by Park’s worldwide travels will be at the Stone Harbor gallery from Saturday, Sept.4 through Monday, Sept. 6.
Ocean Galleries will host intimate receptions with Sam Park on both days from 7 to 10 p.m., with the artist signing and personalizing all purchased artwork.
“It has been more than seven years since this incredible artist visited our gallery so we are truly delighted to welcome Sam Park back to the area,” said gallery owner Kim Miller. “Sam has an incredible talent for capturing the beauty of the destinations he paints by using vivid, pure color and incredible detail. Whether you have experienced the location firsthand or always dreamed of visiting, Sam brings the paintings to life, recreating distinctive scenes that capture the essence and true beauty of the destination.”
Park’s impressionistic works offer an invigorating combination: a palette of both subdued color and bold, bright colors. The inspiration behind the paintings often comes from his global travels to seaside locations in Greece, France, and California, as well as other European land and streetscapes.
Sam Park’s “Romance with the Sea” exhibition will feature over 100 pieces of artwork, including original paintings, drawings, and limited-edition prints, which are available for acquisition.
The exhibition is free and opens to the public at Ocean Galleries (9618 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ) on Saturday, Sept. 4, running through Monday, Sept.6. Receptions with Sam Park will take place from 7 until 10 p. on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibition will remain on display at Ocean Galleries through Monday, Sept. 27.
