Stephen Dubner Congregation Beth Judah will present Stephen Dubner, best-selling author of “Freakonomics” and “SuperFreakonomics,” on Oct.10, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center in Margate.

“Mr. Dubner will challenge the way we think, exploring the hidden side of everything. He will amaze our community by presenting raw economic data wrapped up in fascinating nuggets of information that distill some of our world’s most complex problems into language and ideas we can understand. His upbeat perspective will leave us with the feeling that, maybe, things aren’t so bad after all,” said Dr. David Blecker, cochair of the evening along with Janet Smith. A variety of ticket levels are available. Patron tickets may be purchased at $750, which includes a lavish “Meet the Author” dinner and dessert reception with a book signing. For $125, participants will enjoy the dessert reception with a book signing. Tickets are $36 if purchased in advance, and will be $40 at the door. Dietary laws will be observed.
