Aug. 22 –– Sun. Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood – 19th Annual Raffle and Grand Buffet Brunch starts at 9a.m. Raffle Drawing will take place at 12:00 noon. Tickets are $100 each for Raffle. The grand prize is $10,000; 2nd and 3rd prizes are $1,250. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Tickets to the Grand Buffet are $10.50 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Children under 6 are free. Aug. 29 –– Sun. Beth Israel Congregation – Preparations to commemorate the High Holidays with a Memorial Cemetery Service at Alliance Cemetery, 970 Gershal Ave., Norma, 11 a.m. Rabbi Alfredo S. Golda Meir Hadassah – "Current Events/Social Action Committee" meets at the JCC conference room (2nd floor) at 1:30 p.m. Speaker from the Philadelphia Zionists Organization, Executive Secretary Steve Feldman. Aug. 31, Tue. The Katz JCC – Dinner and Movie event, including a full course meal. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by "Up In the Air" with George Clooney. Reservations, at least one week in advance and payments, for either in person or by phone with a credit card. Sept. 13 –– Mon. The MAPS – "Aloha Hawaiian Luncheon" in the Trump Taj Mahal Ballroom at 11:30 a.m. Tickets $40/members and $45/ nonmembers. Brith Sholom Seashore Lodge – Trip to Baltimore. An all-day, all–inclusive trip to the National Landmark, Baltimore Harbor. Golda Meir Hadassah – At its first luncheon meeting of the fall season, Golda Meir Hadassah will present Bethanie Gorny, who will discuss her first novel, "Fridays with Eva: Caring and Learning from My Mother-in-Law, a Holocaust Survivor," at Beth El Synagogue. Nov. 7 — Sun. Board of Jewish Education – WORLDWIDE DAY OF JEWISH LEARNING celebrating Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz's 45 year long effort to translate the Talmud.
