Arlene Strauss, 75, of Longwood, FL, passed away on July 23, 2010. Arlene was born in Boston, MA. She lived in Margate for over 30 years, then in Orlando, FL until very recently moving to Longwood.

An educator by trade, she taught in the Pleasantville school system for many years. She also formerly taught Sunday school at Congregation Beth Israel and also taught guitar. Arlene then retired from Disney, where she worked for 15 years. She was also involved in many charitable organizations.

Arlene is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Aaron Strauss; her loving children, Stephen (Ellen) Strauss, Cheryl (Layne) Gordon and Marion (David) Lindenbaum; her beloved grandchildren, Jenna and Jordan Strauss, Haley and Cody Gordon, Michael and Mallory Lindenbaum and Sherri Villafana; along with her beloved great-grandson, Liam Villafana. She will be deeply missed.

Services were held Tuesday, July 27, at Congregation Beth Judah, in Ventnor. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery in Egg Harbor Twp. Contributions in Arlene’s memory may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1400 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32806
