Run/2-Mile Walk begins 7:30 a.m. Prizes awarded in various categories. All participants receive Tshirt, water and fruit. Proceeds go to disadvantaged children and teens. Continuing a theme of American Jewish History, join in a book review of Rachel Calof’s book, “Jewish Homesteader on the Northern Plains.” Discussion led by facilitator Meryl Rodgers. Katz JCC– Take a dip in self-indulgence with an evening of chocolate, wine and cheese at the Pool at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City from 7 to 10 p.m. Ticket prices are $40 per person in advance, $50 at the door. Aug. 6 –– Fri. The Katz JCC of Margate- A free community-Shabbat show with the Tzofim Scouts at 6:30 p.m. Performing in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish, these Tzofim Scouts appear in uniforms, Middle Eastern garb, festive blue-and-white outfits and in attire characteristic of shtetl life.
