July 23 –– Fri. Congregation Beth Israel of Northfield– Special Shabbat at the Shore on the beach at Huntington Avenue in Margate, starting at 5:30 p.m. The service is open to the community. Participants are encouraged to bring beach chairs or a blanket.
July 23 –– Fri. Beth Judah Temple Wildwood – Friday night services with music by Grover Bradshaw. Services start 6:30 p.m.
July 24 –– Sat. Beth El Synagogue - A special guest speaker, Holocaust survivor, Ernest Paul will have a speech beginning at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and hear his inspirational story. Following the service will be a kiddish and Paul will be available to answer any questions.
July 25 ––Sun. Beth El - Celebration of “Going Green” with the new Solar Energy System. The festivities begin at the synagogue from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $36 per person. For more information, contact 823-2725.

July 28 –– Wed. Temple Emeth Shalom - Crash course in reading Hebrew begins at 7:30 p.m. Five 1/2- hour weekly classes will be held free for temple members; $25 for non-members. For information and to register call 822-4343.

Shaloma Hadassah - Annual 5k Run/2-Mile Walk, on the AC Boardwalk. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. in front of the Hilton, Boston Avenue and Boardwalk. Run/2-Mile Walk begins 7:30 a.m. Prizes awarded in various categories. All participants receive Tshirt, water and fruit. Proceeds go to disadvantaged children and teens. Continuing a theme of American Jewish History, join in a book review of Rachel Calof’s book, “Jewish Homesteader on the Northern Plains.” Discussion led by facilitator Meryl Rodgers. Aug. 6 –– Fri. The Katz JCC of Margate- A free community-Shabbat show with the Tzofim Scouts at 6:30 p.m. Performing in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish, these Tzofim Scouts perform in uniforms, Middle Eastern garb, festive blue-and-white outfits and in attire characteristic of shtetl life.
