JACK LEVY, 64

Jack Levy, 64, of Northfield, died on July 8, 2010. He was born on December 6, 1945 to Morris & Goldie Levy and lived with his family in Atlantic City and later in Pleasantville.

Jack graduated from Pleasantville High School and attended Glassboro State College for four years. He accepted a teaching job at Oakcrest High School and taught English there for 32 years. In the summer Jack worked for Canada Dry for over 30 years delivering soda and he also bartended for Rose and Jack Zawid.

Jack was a caring person. His family was his top priority, especially his grandchildren who referred to him as Poppy. Surviving is his devoted wife, Sandy; his children, Bryan (Laura) Levy and Dara Aberman; his sister, Dorothy (Bill) Harris; his grandchildren, Quinn, Hannah, Adam, Sarah and Megan; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Myra and Steve Rickel and Cheryl and Ken Morrow along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and friends.

Graveside services were held Monday July 12, at Rodef Sholom Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
