July 19 & 20— Mon. & Tue. Beth Judah, Ventnor– Services for Tisha B’Av will be held on Monday evening at 7:30p.m., in our Toll Memorial Chapel. You do not have to be a member to participate. Tuesday morning there will be services at 7:30 am and there will be a special Tisha B’Av Mincha service at 1:00 pm. For more information, please call the Beth Judah office at 822 7116 ext 101.

July 19 & 20–– Mon. & Tue. Beth Israel Vineland– Services at Beth Israel Congregation for Tisha B'Av, the commemoration of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, will be held on July 19, at 8 p.m. and July 20, during the morning Shacharit services, at 7 a.m., at the synagogue, 1015 E. Park Ave., Vineland. Rabbi Alfredo S. Winter, spiritual leader of Beth Israel Congregation, will lead the services. For more information, call the Beth Israel Congregation office at 856-691-0852.

July 20 & 22–– Tue. & Thu. Beth Judah, Ventnor– Rabbinic Intern, Zachary Silver, will begin teaching‚” Judaism Encounters Modernity.” Class will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in our Goldberg Family Library. He will, also, be teaching‚”21st Century Zionism‚” on Thursday at noon, at Denny’s meeting room, Tilton Road, Northfield. This is a four-week class, ending Thursday, August 12. Chabad - A Shabbat Dinner & Lecture. Our guest speaker is Rabbi Shalom Hammer, IDF Chaplain, at the Chabad Ventnor Shul, 6412 Ventnor Ave. Ventnor. The cost is $22 for adults and $15 for children. July 28 –– Wed. Temple Emeth Shalom - Crash course in reading Hebrew begins at 7:30 p.m. Five 1/2-hour weekly classes will be held free for temple members; $25 for non-members. For information and to register call 822-4343.

Aug 5 — Thu. Board of Jewish Education – ONE BOOK, ONE JEWISH COMMUNITY AT THE SHORE, 10 a.m. at the Katz JCC in Margate. Continuing a theme of American Jewish History, join in a book review of Rachel Calof’s book, “Jewish Homesteader on the Northern Plains.” Discussion led by facilitator Meryl Rodgers. Aug. 22 –– Sun. Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood – 19th Annual Raffle and Grand Buffet Brunch starts at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $100 each for Raffle. The grand prize is $10,000; 2nd and 3rd prizes are $1,250. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Tickets to the Grand Buffet are $10.50 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Children under 6 are free. Join in as communities around the world share a day of Jewish dialogue and exploration in celebration of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz’s completion of 40 years of work on his monumental translation & commentary on the Talmud.
