Sheinfeld, Irving, 88, of Linwood, N.J. Our beloved husband, father, and grandpop Irv passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010.

Irving was born and raised in Atlantic City and graduated from the Atlantic City High School. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force in the South Pacific during WWII.

He remained a life-long South Jersey Shore resident, first raising a family in Margate and later retiring in Linwood. For 40 years Irving took great pride and pleasure in building G&S Sales Company and Specialty Sales, Inc., in Atlantic City, with his long-time business partner. Irving was a founding member and two-term president of Beth El Synagogue in Margate.

Irving put his heart and soul into charity work, and one of his favorite charities was Seashore Gardens Living Center where he served as pastpresident and on the Board of Directors. He was a member of various organizations including Avoda, B’nai Brith, and Akiba.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Lorna

Wesler) of Linwood; two children, David Sheinfeld and wife, Debbie of Dallas, Texas, and Sally Etta Sheinfeld and husband, Andrew Levy of New York City; and five grandchildren, Michael, Katie, and Jessica Sheinfeld of Dallas, Texas, and Gita and Sadie Sheinfeld Levy of New York City. Irving is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Yetta Sheinfeld, and his sisters, Minnie Weisberg and Ida Goldman.

Services were held June 27 at Beth El Synagogue in Margate. Interment was at Beth Kehillah Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Greenwood House, 50 Walters Street, Ewing, NJ 08628 or Seashore Gardens Living Center, 22 W. Jimmie Leeds Rd., Galloway Twp., NJ 08205.
