Local High School Teens Plan Israel Experience Trips

The leadership of the High School of Jewish Studies (HSJS), through Executive Director of Board of Jewish Education Linda S Kulp, is pleased to announce that five teens from the local high school community will participate in peer group trips to Israel this summer.

Each teen’s participation in these programs was, in part, funded by the BJE through grants offered by the Jewish Federation’s Israel Programs Committee to those enrolled in the HSJS.

In addition, each of the teen’s individual synagogues helped to sponsor their participation.

Courtney DeYoung, granddaughter of Norman and Deena DeYoung of Margate, will participate on USY’s Italy and Israel Experience.

Logan Chipkin and Dan Glass, sons of respectively, Joel and Robin Chipkin of Margate and Dr. Andrew and Carla Glass of Ventnor, will both be part of USY’s Eastern Europe and Israel Pilgrimage.

Harry Furman, son of Shelley and Steve Furman of Linwood, will participate in the BBYO Israel Journey program.

Ben Brezel, son of Dr. Mitch and Lisa Brezel of Linwood, will be spending his summer program with the Camp Ramah Poland and Israel Seminar.

“Federation is delighted to partner with the BJE in making resources available for our youth to spend quality time in our Homeland,” said Bob Seltzer, Federation Executive VP. “What better way is there to ensure our children’s love of Israel?”
