Rodef Sholom Sisterhood Luncheon

Rodef Sholom Sisterhood will be holding its paid-up membership luncheon at the synagogue, on Monday, July 12, at 11 a.m. A mini-lunch will be served. For information call the office at 345-4580.

Golda Meir Hadassah Theater Trip

Golda Meir Hadassah is sponsoring a theater trip to the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, N.J., on Sunday, June 27. The show, to be presented at a matinee, will be a Broadway musical comedy, “Drowsy Chaperone.”

The bus will leave from the JCC in Margate at 10:30 a.m., and arrive at 11:45 a.m. for lunch at the famous Daddy O Restaurant.

Beth Judah Summer Fun 2010

What better place for your two- to six-year-old to spend the mornings, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from June 29 through August 5, than Congregation Beth Judah’s Early Learning Center SUMMER FUN 2010!! There is something for every child to enjoy and learn. Two-year- olds have a choice of a two-day or three-day-a-week program. Three-to-six-year-olds have a choice of four hours or six hours a week. You do not have to be a member to enroll your child/grandchild in this exciting interactive program. Please call for information at 822- 7116.

Trip to Baltimore Harbor

Brith Sholom Seashore Lodge, is sponsoring an all-day, all- inclusive trip to the National Landmark Baltimore Harbor on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

The day will start with a visit to Ft. McHenry, where the Star Spangled Banner was written. This will be followed by a complete buffet lunch at Philips Seafood. The highlight of the trip will be a visit to the world famous National Aquarium, including free admission to several shows and performances.

The total, complete cost for the day is $85 per person. September is a long way off, but our buses fill quickly. For reservations, phone Elaine Levin at 487-9998.

Installation Sabbath

New officers and board members of Temple Emeth Shalom will be installed at services on Friday, June 25. Following is the slate of 2010- 2011 officers: Marc Needleman, president; Erwin Markman, 1st vice president; Jerry Krassenstein, 2nd vicepresident; Carol Myerowitz, 3rd vice-president; Mark Borowsky, treasurer and Margie Gross, secretary. Elected Board Members: Renee Appel, Janet Burrison, Mitch Gordon, Richard Goukler, Alvin Lipow, Lou Myerowitz, Rosa Ojserkis, Betty Rimm, Ellen Rosenfield and Ron Weiner.

Beth El Sisterhood Game Days

Beth El Sisterhood Summer game days with lunch are back, beginning Tuesday, July 6 and every Tuesday until Aug. 31. Time is 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $8 per person. There will be raffles and great door prizes. Bring your friends and make new ones. If you are looking for a game, we will try to accommodate you.

Temple Beth Shalom Hosts Luncheon Card Party

Temple Beth Shalom is hosting a Luncheon Card Party on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:30 a.m., and would love for you to join them!

Come play Bridge, Canasta and Mah Jong. Bring your own partner or we can arrange a game for you.

Surflight Theater Trip

Temple Emeth Shalom Chavurah is sponsoring a trip to see "Cabaret" in Beach Haven on Thursday, August 19. Cost of the trip is $65 per person, including lunch, round-trip bus transportation and the show. For information and reservations, contact Bebe Markman, 822-5682.

Visitors Invited to Temple Beth Shalom

All visitors and summer residents are invited to attend services at Temple Beth Shalom, Brigantine's Shul by the Sea.

Temple Beth Shalom is a Conservative Synagogue led by Rabbi Gerald R. Fox. Services are held every Friday evening at 8 p.m., followed by an Oneg Shabbat. In addition, services are held on the second Saturday of every month at 10 a.m., followed by a Kiddush.

A tribute to the artistry of Barbra Streisand

Temple Emeth Shalom presents a tribute to the artistry of Barbra Streisand – "Then and Now" – at a special concert at the Temple, 8501 Ventnor Ave., Margate, on Wednesday, July 21.

Professional Celebrity Tribute Artist Carla Del Villaggio has the look, the sound and the mannerisms of the famous singer/actress in her "Simply Streisand" performance. She has garnered accolades wherever she performs, winning honors as the "Best Overall Celebrity Re-creation Award," and "Agent's Best Impressed Award," voted upon by agents and industry professionals throughout the country. Originally classically trained as an opera singer, through the years she has been drawn to the voice and persona of Barbara Streisand.
