New Kosher Pizza & Falafel Shop in Ventnor
Ian Poknes, an employee at Shalom Pita, prepares a large falafel for waiting customers.
The Jersey shore has always been a popular vacation spot for thousands of Jewish people in the summer months. One of the greatest challenges for a Jewish person when traveling is finding kosher food.
Shalom Pita, a kosher dairy restaurant has recently opened its doors in Ventnor, at 6514 Ventnor Ave., offering a menu of falafel, knishes, pizza and more.
It is not only visitors who are benefiting from the new kosher establishment, but also the small towns surrounding it boast a small traditional Jewish community, which until now had limited kosher choices.
Shalom Pita is open Sunday to Friday and Saturdays after Shabbos during the summer months. They serve Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel and are under strict Orthodox Rabbinical Supervision. For more information about Shalom Pita visit www.shalomkosherac.com or call 385-4785.
