GM Hadassah Theater Trip

Golda Meir Hadassah is sponsoring a theater trip to the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, N.J., on Sunday, June 27. The show, to be presented at a matinee, will be a Broadway musical comedy “Drowsy Chaperone.”

The bus will leave from the JCC in Margate at 10:30 a.m., and arrive at 11:45 a.m. for lunch at the famous Daddy O Restaurant.

Trip to NYC

Temple Emeth Shalom will sponsor a day trip to New York City on Wednesday, June 23. The bus leaves the Temple at 8501 Ventnor Ave. in Margate at 8 a.m., returning from New York at 5 p.m. Cost is $35. Call Carol at 822- 3940 or BeBe at 822-5682 for reservations and information.

TJCDS Eighth Grade

Graduation

The Trocki Jewish Community Day School will have it's first eighth–grade graduation at the TJCDS Campus on Tuesday June 8, at 6 p.m.

This year’s graduates are: Sydney Rose Bierig, Yonah Lev Bromberg Gaber, Noah Avery Kiejdan, and Emmi Rose Schwartz.

Beth Judah of Wildwood's Grand Brunch Buffet

Beth Judah Temple of Wildwood invites the community to its Grand Brunch Buffet of Lox, Bagels & More, which will be held at the temple, Spencer and Pacific avenues, in Wildwood, on Sunday, June 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be bagels, lox and omelets made to order with a choice of fried onions, green peppers, sliced mushrooms and broccoli; or lox, kugel, hash brown potatoes, cheese blintzes with toppings of sour cream or cherry sauce, herring tidbits, gourmet fish salad, fruit medley, cakes and cookies, coffee, tea, milk and orange juice.

Summer Swim Team

The Katz JCC is beginning another great summer by offering an opportunity to sign up for the Sharks Swim Team. The Sharks is a co-ed progressive program that runs from May 18 to Aug. 13, and which emphasizes the four competitive swim strokes.

Ages 5 to 18 will experience the excitement of competition, the unity of a team and the self confidence of achievement. The team will compete within the South Jersey Swim League. Swim meets are scheduled Wednesday nights and a championship swim meet and awards ceremony will be held at the end of the season.

Practices are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participants must be able to swim 25 meters or one length of the pool. The cost is $150/M and $250/NM. Registration forms are available at the JCC front desk.

Gold Meir Hadassah Annual Donor Luncheon

Gold Meir Hadassah will have their Annual Donor Luncheon, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Harbor Pines Country Club. A Fabulous Gourmet Luncheon will be served, followed by a Spring Fashion Show, presented by “Annie Sez.” Our Golda Meir Hadassah members will be the models.

Avoda Trip to Surflight Theater

The Avoda club will sponsor a trip to the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, N.J on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 to see the matinee performance of "42nd Street." The cost is $65 which includes bus, lunch and the show. Call Selma Fishlow at 823-6299 for reservations.

Absecon Lighthouse Golf Tournament

Absecon Lighthouse's annual Golf Tournament to benefit educational programs for children will be held at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links in Egg Harbor Township on Friday, June 4.

The golf package is $100 per person and includes greens fees and cart, lunch, embroidered hat, tee package, prizes, awards banquet and a future round of discounted golf at McCullough's.

Awards Party Sponsorship is $1,000, Lunch Sponsorship is $500, and Hole Sponsorship is $100. Dinner-only tickets are available for $30. Regional Rabbis to be Honored by Day School

The new date for the Trocki Jewish Community Day School annual fundraiser honoring local rabbis of every denomination is Sunday, June 13, at 5 p.m.

Rabbi David Weis, Rabbi Aaron Krauss, Rabbi Gordon Geller, Rabbi Sholom Ever, Rabbi Max Fox, Rabbi Jeffrey Lipschultz, Rabbi Gerald Fox, Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport, and Rabbi Shmuel Rapoport will be on hand to celebrate the completion of the first full year since the merger of two Jewish Schools, the Trocki Hebrew Academy and the Jewish Community Day School in March, 2009.

A gourmet kosher cocktail/buffet will take place at the Clarion Hotel, 6821 Black Horse Pike, EHT. The cost for the evening is $75 per person.

"We have one quality Jewish Day school in our community. It is incumbent upon us all to make every effort to attend the dinner, place an ad in the Ad Book, and recruit our neighbors to do the same," said Dr. Jared Videll, president of the TJCDS.

"Everyone in the community should realize the importance of a Jewish Day school, it is not just for the orthodox, reform, or conservative movements, it is for Judaism itself.”

Card Party and Luncheon at Beth Judah of Wildwood

Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood is hosting a card party and luncheon at the temple, Spencer and Pacific aves., Wildwood, on Wednesday, June 16, at 12 noon.

Trip to Baltimore Harbor

Brith Sholom Seashore Lodge, is sponsoring an all-day, all- inclusive trip to the National Landmark Baltimore Harbor on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

The day will start with a visit to Ft. McHenry, where the Star Spangled Banner was written. This will be followed by a complete buffet lunch at Philips Seafood. The highlight of the trip will be a visit to the world famous National Aquarium, including free admission to several shows and performances.

Beth Judah Summer Fun 2010

What better place for your two- to sixyear old to spend the mornings, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from June 29 through August 5, than Congregation Beth Judah’s Early Learning Center SUMMER FUN 2010!! There is something for every child to enjoy and learn. Two year olds have a choice of a two day or three day a week program. Three to six year olds have a choice of four hours or six hours a week. Beth Judah to Honor Their Minyanaires

On Monday evening, June 14, immediately following our 5:30 p.m. daily minyan, Beth Judah will be holding a barb que to honor those who continually attend and maintain our daily minyan. Beth Judah Annual Canoe Trip

What will your child/grandchild remember about Father’s Day when he/she grows up? Join the fun and excitement as Beth Judah holds their “Wading River Tea Party.” A Car caravan will be leaving Beth Judah’s back parking lot at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 20, headed for a three-hour Canoe Trip down the Wading River, Chatsworth, NJ. Beth Judah to Hold Annual Meeting

Monday evening, June 14, at 7:00 p.m., Congregation Beth Judah, Ventnor, will hold its Annual Meeting. President, Jay Weiner, will give a “State of the Synagogue Address,” the new Board members will be elected, and there will be some festivities to continue the celebration of our 80th Anniversary. Rosin Center Hosts Photography and Filmmaking Exhibit

A visual arts exhibit – created during a recent seniors program – will take place at the Herman Pogachefsky Senior Services Pavilion, 1102 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City, on Wednesday, June 9, at 11 a.m.

Seniors participated in the photography program with professional photographer Senior Fitzgerald and a video program with independent filmmaker Tom Simm.

The experience was positive with students learning a new craft and creating photos and a mini-documentary of some of the activities that take place at the Center.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Those requiring transportation should call Gail at 345-3057.
