Laura Brenner, whose name appears on The Jewish Times masthead (to the right) as our newspaper’s graphic artist, lost her lengthy battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 18.

She continued working until several weeks ago. And when you spoke with Laura, even near the very end of that courageous fight, and asked her how she was feeling, she would quickly reply, “I feel great.”

She was optimistic to a fault. When she had to be rushed to the hospital for a blood transfusion, even then she made it a positive: It just happened to be the same day she was scheduled for dialysis. She called it a “twofer.”

Memorial services will be held for Laura at a date to be announced.
