United Way Honors Jewish Family Service During Annual Awards Celebration

JFS Executive Director Andrea Steinberg was recognized with the “Henry J. Remeis Agency Executive Director of the Year” award by John Emge, executive director of The United Way of Atlantic County. (Margate, NJ – April 23, 2010) The United Way of Atlantic County presented Jewish Family Service Executive Director Andrea Steinberg, LCSW, with the annual “Henry J. Remeis Agency Executive Director of the Year” award during the 2009 Campaign Awards Celebration at Tropicana Casino & Resort.

Steinberg was nominated and selected by the region’s leading not-for-profit leaders as the agency director who best demonstrates superior agency management, leadership with peers and support of United Way.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by my colleagues as the Executive Director of the Year,” said Steinberg. “Because of its pioneering work over the years, Jewish Family Service is able to assist so many members of our diverse community.”

JFS was also recognized with the Agency Gold Award for its 2009 campaign. With nearly one-hundred percent staff participation, JFS continues to proudly support United Way’s annual campaign.
