(Hannah Thiem Photo) There will be a fun-filled evening of Jewish music with a unique twist when the nationally-acclaimed Sheba Ensemble presents a fun-filled concert at Beth Israel Congregation, 1015 E. Park Ave., Vineland, on Sunday, June 13, at 7 p.m.

Performing as part of this all-female music group are soprano Shiree Kidron, cantorial soloist at Beth Israel Congregation; flutist Alicia Kravitz; violinist Gabrielle Fink; cellist Leat Sabbah; and pianist Gillian Berkowitz. All have been classically trained at the world’s leading conservatories.

Reflecting a stunning intersection of musical influences, the Sheba Ensemble’s arrangements add a world music flavor to Jewish music by incorporating elements of bossa nova, pop, and jazz in traditional music and original compositions.

The South Miami News has praised the group’s “virtuosic skills” and “elegant musicianship.”

In addition to performances in Florida, Connecticut, New York, and France, they have appeared on the Manhattan Neighborhood television network and on Radio J France.
