Regional Rabbis to be Honored by Day School

The Trocki Jewish Community Day School is set to honor local rabbis of every denomination at their annual fundraiser on Sunday, April 25.

Rabbi Aaron Gaber, Rabbi David Weis, Rabbi Aaron Krauss, Rabbi Gordon Geller, Rabbi Sholom Ever, Rabbi Max Fox, Rabbi Jeffrey Lipschultz, Rabbi Gerald Fox, Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport, and Rabbi Shmuel Rapoport will be on hand to celebrate the completion of the first full year since the merger of two Jewish schools, the Trocki Hebrew Academy and the Jewish Community Day School in March, 2009.

“It is rare that a community brings together all of its rabbis, to focus on our most important Jewish task - to educate our children,” said Dr. Jared Videll, President of the TJCDS. “We look forward to the support of the entire community by their attendance at the gala dinner and in recognizing how fortunate we are to have such committed rabbinic leadership.”

The joyous, gourmet kosher dinner will take place at the Clarion Hotel, 6821 Black Horse Pike, commencing with cocktails at 5 p.m.

Invitations are in the mail. Ad Book and dinner reservation forms are available by calling the school at 383- 8484.

“We have one quality Jewish Day school in our community. It is incumbent upon us all to make every effort to attend the dinner, place an ad in the Ad Book, and recruit our neighbors to do the same,” said Dr. Videll. “Everyone in the community should realize the importance of a Jewish Day school, it is not just for the orthodox, reform, or conservative movements, it is for Judaism itself.

“Two weeks ago, the Jewish Times ran an article on the importance of Jewish Day schools, which affirmed their importance to the Jewish community. Let us all join together with an enormous show of support for this organization so central to our heritage,” Dr. Videll said.
