“Children of the Holocaust”
The Katz JCC and The Richard Stockton College Of New Jersey recently hosted a presentation sponsored by The Donald, & Nan (Chipkin) Berkman Fund hosting Professor Deborah Dwork PH.D.
Dr. Dwork, author of numerous books on the Holocaust, presented a remarkable lecture about the children of the Holocaust. She offered vignettes about several survivors and their stories. She talked about the long ranging impact that the Holocaust and DP Camps had on young children and presented a general overview of various aspects of the child survivor experience during the Holocaust and post-Holocaust time.
Dr. Dwork kicked off the series titled “Children of the Holocaust, War and Genocide.” The next presentation will be Zlata Filipovic at the JCC on Tuesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. Limited transportation is available from local high-rise buildings. For more information contact Patti Ruth at 822-1167 ext. 117. The series is free of charge.
