HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR LUNCHEON AT JFS. Cyla Kowenski (left) with Richard Stockton College of New Jersey student Christina Bianco, who entertained at a recent Holocaust survivors luncheon at Jewish Family Service. Christina, a vocalist who plays guitar and harmonica, thanked the Holocaust survivors for inviting her and told them that as much as they said they gained from hearing her music, she was enriched by meeting the survivors. Christina is president of Stockton’s STAND – Students Taking Action Now Darfur.
Henry Sher entertained the Holocaust survivors at the luncheon with Jewish humor. Some of the jokes were told in Yiddish and everyone enjoyed Henry's entertainment. Henry's parents were both Holocaust survivors and many at the luncheon had known his parents.
