ADHS) can help you! Adult Medical Day Care – at Generations, 40 E. New York Ave., in Somers Point – offers nursing, social work and recreation. A n RN is always available to administer medications, help in the bathroom with personal care or offer diabetes education.
The social worker at ADHS can help qualify Mom for funding and programs to pay for medications, homemaker help and diabetic supplies. The social worker can also offer valuable resources for the caregivers – like monthly support group meetings and family mediation. The activates portion of the ADHS program will provide transportation to trips and outings, as well as in-house activities like art, music and pet therapies. Many ADHS programs also offer Registered Dietician services, therapies such as physical, occupational and speech as well as transportation to and from the program and area doctors visits.
