Jan. 20 — Wed. Judaism Classes at Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood – Rabbi Jeffrey Lipschultz of Beth Judah Temple, Spencer and Pacific avenues in Wildwood, will be giving classes for Jews and non-Jews interested in learning the basics of Judaism, at the temple on Wednesdays, starting Jan. 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The classes are free to members of the congregation. Jan. 23 — Sat. Emeth Shalom Monopoly Tournament – Open to all age groups, admission is free and prizes will be awarded. Subs, drinks and desserts available for purchase. Reserve your table now. Doors open at 5 p.m. For reservations and information, call Linda, 822-0589 or Janet, 823-0063.

Annual Chai Cook Off - Beth Judah, Ventnor. 6:30 p.m. Our “Summer In January” happening will feature three local professional chefs. They will compete to see who can “build a better burger.” They will be preparing a three course dinner with a “secret ingredient” in each course. There will be three food judges. There will be a beer tasting, a wine tasting, music and our renowned Auction. Cost is $25 per person. Send your check to Beth Judah, 700 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ventnor 08406, to reserve your spot. Jan. 26 — Tues. Mah Jongg Classes – At Beth Judah Temple, Spencer & Pacific avenues, Wildwood, NJ on Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 26 through February 18. Classes are twice a week 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. For more information please call Rhoda Gold at 522-7623.

January Dinner & Movie – JCC’s Dinner and a Movie event includes a full course meal with salad, soup, entrée and dessert. Dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by the showing of James Dean’s “East of Eden.” Reservations should be made at least one week in advance and paid for either in person or by phone with a credit card. The early bird cost is $11 for JCC members and $13 for non-members up to one week before the event. Afterwards, the price increases to $13 M/ $15 NM. Call 609-822-1167 x 113 to register.

Jan. 30 — Sat. PIZMON Concert – PIZMON Concert and Celebration Honoring Retired Jewish Educators – 7:30 p.m. Beth El in Margate. A free concert and evening including a dessert reception – PIZMON, the a capella group made up of college students from the New York area will feature a program of GLEE for the entire community. This is sponsored by the Board of Jewish Education and the Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. A great evening of music, good company and offering thanks to those who taught our children over the years from each of our synagogues and day schools. Katz JCC Teen Dance – The dance, for grades 6-8, will have a “Welcome to the Jungle” theme and teens are encouraged to dress in their animal prints. Jan. 31 — Sun. TJCDS Bingo – Trocki Jewish Community Day School is sponsoring a Pasta Dinner and Bingo. 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Dinner includes Bingo. Feb. 4 — Thurs. Pearls for a Cause – JFS will hold its Third Annual Cocktail Party on the top floor of the Pier Shops – extending 100 yards out over the Atlantic Ocean at 6:00-8:00 p.m. $100 per guest.
