Beatrice K. Gerber, 94, of Ventnor, passed away on Nov. 23, 2009. Born in New York City, she was raised in Newark, NJ, where she also worked as a teacher in the Newark School System. She later lived in Tuckerton, before moving to the Shore over 50 years ago.

She was a life member of Hadassah and was also a member of ORT and Brandeis Women. Beatrice was also an avid Bridge player and a gifted pianist. She was predeceased by her husband Herman in 1982. She is survived by her loving children: Alan (Barbara) Gerber and Jay (Ellen) Gerber; loving grandchildren, Ronald (Jennifer) Gerber, Scott Gerber, Leigh Gerber and Stephanie Gerber; and her beloved greatgrandchildren, Alexandra, Timothy, and Annabel. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Kambler and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services, Tuesday, Dec. 1, Cong. Beth Israel in Northfield. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery in Egg Harbor Twp. Contributions in Beatrice’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were by ROTH-GOLDSTEINS’ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Atlantic City.
