Holocaust Resource Center Presents Educator Workshop
The Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center will be presenting an educator workshop, “Genocide in the 20th Century,” on Tuesday, Dec.1, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Professional Development Hours will be offered for N.J. educators. This workshop is free and designed for middle and high school educators. Resource materials will be distributed.
The presenter will be Dr. Samuel Totten, Ida E. King Distinguished Visiting Professor of Holocaust Studies. The workshop will present an overview of the issue of genocide in the 20th century, along with potential resources and some teaching ideas.
The topics to be presented are the origins of genocide, genocides in the 20th and 21st centuries, genocide as a process, and what can be done to prevent genocide. For information and registration: call 652-4699.
