Local Memorial for Victim of Mumbai Terror Attacks
-On the first anniversary of the terror attacks in Mumbai, Chabad presents a women’s Torah class, “A Rose Among Thorns: A Tribute to Rebbetzin Rivkah Holtzberg,” in memory of a valiant woman who was brutally murdered in the attacks.
The event will take place in Margate at the Chabad House, 8223 Fulton Ave., on Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. All women, regardless of affiliation, are invited to join this event. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary.
Rivkah Holtzberg was the Chabad emissary who was brutally murdered in the attacks together with her husband and visitors in her home and Chabad House (Nariman House).
“A Rose Among Thorns” is a gathering of Jewish women that will take place in Rivkah’s memory. This learning experience will provide a glimpse into the life of the Biblical figure Rebecca and how it sheds light on Rivkah Holtzberg’s valiant story
Chabad provides an opportunity for Jewish women from all walks of life to join together for inspirational Torah study that is both insightful and practical. This lesson promises to provide a deeper look into the timeless cornerstones of Judaism and aspects of Jewish life that are of unique relevance to women.
