"I am deeply moved and honored to be receiving this award," said Formica. "My love for music began at an early age when I picked up a guitar.
"I am most proud of having passed this passion to my children. My son recently returned from touring Japan performing with Neumann University where he is majoring in music.
"The arts has the capacity to enrich the lives of our children, it brings creativity and nurtures one's imagination," Formica said. "I applaud the mission of the Marty Wilson Foundation and look forward to continuing to support their efforts in Atlantic County.
The Marty Wilson Foundation mission is to help children acquire knowledge, skills and understanding of the arts in order to reinforce life, social and job skills.
The foundation supports programs in the Atlantic City public schools and private schools in addition to numerous outreach programs through-out the year.
