Preparations Completed for Oct. 18 'Conversation'

2009-10-09 / Front Page

Every member of the community who is concerned about the future of American Jewry, its priorities and its organizational structure, should plan to attend a unique town meeting at the Katz JCC in Margate on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m.

The goal of this "Community Conversation" is to find innovative strategies for such challenging and important issues as developing future leadership, executing successful fundraising, managing community relations, connecting with Israel and worldwide Jewry and organizing Federation to lead more effectively.

A volunteer, grassroots committee, with the support of Federation, has planned this event. There are many compelling reasons to participate: First and foremost is the opportunity to voice your opinion. The gathering is designed to give everyone the chance to express ideas and concerns.

In addition, the interesting - and surprising - results of a survey gathered during the past two months will be revealed. Finally, to ensure that the event is well-organized and constructive, a professional facilitator from the Washington D.C. area has been engaged, at no cost to our community. His experience in working with private corporations, nonprofits and governments will serve us well.

Planners for the Community Conversation said they wanted to remind the entire community that it is invited and encouraged to attend our community's - your community's - Conversation on Sunday, October 18, at 11 a.m. at the JCC.

Please confirm your attendance by calling Michele at the Federation office: 822-4404.
