Nina Izes, 45, of Margate, passed away suddenly on Aug. 7, 2009. Born in Atlantic City, Nina was a lifelong shore resident and a graduate of Atlantic City High School. She then graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from James Madison University. Nina worked as a reporter and writer for various local newspapers.

She was predeceased by her father, Bernard Izes. Nina is survived by her loving mother, Bernice Izes of Margate; her loving sisters Lois Izes and her partner Brenda Nelson and son Bryan Nelson of Egg Harbor Twp., and Susan Izes of Vero Beach, FL; her loving aunts, Norma Linn and Sandra Izes and her loving uncle, Bernard Solganick. She is also survived by many dear cousins and friends.

Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 11 at ROTHGOLDSTEINS' MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Pacific and New Hampshire Avenues in Atlantic City. Interment followed at Emeth Shalom Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.
