Lillian Bernstein (nee Spivack), 95, died on July 17, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Zachary S. Bernstein. The loving foundation on which her family was raised, she will be greatly missed by her devoted daughters and sons-in-law: Myra, Jerome Greenberg; Sandra, Sidney Portnoy; her loving grandchildren: Paul, Ellen Greenberg; Dan, Jennifer Greenberg; Marjorie Portnoy, Keith Tessler; David, Andrea Berliner Portnoy; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Susan, Amy, Sam Greenberg; Joshua, Rebekah Tessler.

A special thank-you goes to all of her care givers at Sunrise at Galloway, Heartland Hospice, and most especially to Viviene McPherson.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 19, at Beth El Synagogue. Interment was in Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township. Contributions in her memory may be made to MAZON or to the charity of the donor's choice.
