Taylor Shane Levine For more than two decades, the Henrietta Harris and Sadie Bernstine Fund has been awarding college scholarships to Atlantic City High School graduates of the Jewish faith. These excellence-in-scholarship awards are based on need, scholastic achievement and involvement in Jewish activities. To date, more than $2,000,000 has been awarded. .

This years recipients, all from Margate, are: Taylor Shane Levine daughter of Steven and Sindy; Rachael Florence Shanker, daughter of Arthur and Laura and Samantha Emily Steiner, daughter of Jerry and Bonnie.

Serving on the selection committee were: Harvey Elfman, of Cherry Hill, co-trustee; Robert Seltzer, Executive Vice President, Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, and Rose Strauss-Vender of Margate. Ably advising the committee were Darlene E. Lathan, guidance department of A. C. High School and Karolyn Kilpatrick, co-trustee, Wachovia Bank.

Applications for 2010 can be obtained from - and returned to - the A. C. High School guidance dept. Completed applications must be submitted no later than April 18, 2010 to be eligible.
