Jerome M. "Jerry" Shusman, 71, of Egg Harbor Twp., passed away on June 17, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from Central High School, Class #204 in 1955. He then graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1959.

Jerry practiced as a pharmacist for nearly 50 years. He began his career in Horsham, Pa. and later in Warminster, Pa. He later practiced in Atlantic City and Somers Point, N.J.

Jerry was a Master Mason and he was also a past-president of Adelphi Lodge of Bnai Brith. He was predeceased by his first wife Harriet (nee Rubin) and his daughter Alyse Kotzen. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Shusman (nee Freedman); his loving children, Lori (Fred) Shusman Segal, Dr. Jeffrey (Cheryl) Gosin, Nancy (Scott) Mitnick and Debra (Cliff) Warner; his dear sister, Loretta Rachlin and his beloved grandchildren, Jillian, Lexi, Evan, Hillary, Julia, Seth, Cara, Matthew, Justin, Michael and Ethan.

Services were held Friday, June 19h, at Congregation Beth Israel in Northfield, N.J. Interment followed in Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.
