Previously scheduled for Dr.Seuss's real birthday, a major snowstorm delayed the celebration at the Ventnor Educational Community Complex to Monday March 9, 2009. Volunteer readers read to Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade classrooms. All of the more than 50 books were donated by Hadassah through a grant from Verizon. The children loved hearing the stories and appreciated having the books added to their classroom libraries. Volunteers were Sandy Snyder, Sondra Dublinsky, Eve Rose, Hermine Shapiro, Tammy Spanier, Cloey Rodriguez, Roz Geyer, Edie Sanders, Joann Maser, Roz Oberson, Marcy Gelman, Gloria Feltoon, Shirley Belitsky and Diane Midelton.
