Teachers and music educators can reserve free tickets for the 2009 education concerts, sponsored by the Bay-Atlantic Symphony.

The 2009 Gus Cilento, M.D. Education Concerts, will take place on Friday, May 1, 2009, at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m., at the Frank Guaracini, Jr. Performing Arts Center, Cumberland County College, Sherman Avenue and College Drive, Vineland; and on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., at the Richard Stockton College Performing Arts Center, Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway Township.

These 45-minute concerts, entitled "How Music Talks: Let's Play!" will consist of pieces that engage the whimsical, playful, and fanciful.

To illustrate this, the Bay- Atlantic Symphony and Music Director Jed Gaylin will present selections from Sergei Prokofiev's A Summer's Day and Classical Symphony, as well as Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 performed by young French piano virtuoso Olivier Cangelosi.

Tickets are free because of the generous donations from the Dodge Foundation, Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation, and Richard Stockton College. A limited number of bus vouchers are available on a first come, first served basis.
