Dec. 13 —Sat. Havdalah Service - Beth El children's Havdalah workshop beginning at 4:30 p.m. The children can come in their PJs, hear a story, have a lite dinner, bagels and cream cheese, dessert and do a Shabbat activity. 823-2725.
Dec. 14 — Sun. Dinner and Bingo - Play Bingo for prizes. There will be raffles too. All are welome. $12 for adults, $9 for children and $5 for nursery students. Dec 16. — Tues. Teens to Meet with Columbia University Advisor - Students and parents will meet with the assistant Director of Adminissions at Columbia University to learn more about college issues for Jewish teens. Eleventh and twelfth grade students are invited. Beth Judah, Ventnor. Parents will meet at 7:00 pm. From 7:45 to 9:00 pm the 11th and 12th grade students will meet. Call Linda Kulp at 822- 1854.
Dec. 17 — Wed. Golda Meir Hadassah Musical Program - Given by Cantor Goren. Beth El Synagogue on Jerome Ave. The cost for the lunch is $3, and starts at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are a must. The program begins at 1:00pm. Call Ruth Kleiner at 609-822-5370. All are welcome.
Dec. 18 — Thurs. Seashore Gardens - Beth El Hebrew School students, teachers, Rabbi Plotkin and Cantor Goren will sing Chanukah songs, play dreidel games and visit with the residents from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Dec.21 — Sun. Celebrate Chanukah - Temple Beth Shalom in Brigantine holds its Annual Chanukah party at 3 p.m. Games and food, including homemade latkes with all the trimmings, jelly donuts, etc. Bring a unisex Polyanna gift ($5 maximum). Event is free, but must RSVP 266-0403, 45th and Brigantine Avenue.
Dec. 23— Tues. Chanukah Celebration - Beth El Hebrew School will be hosting a talent show, latke party and Chanukah candle lighting at the synagogue beginning 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Community invited. 823-2725.
Dec. 31 — Wed. New Year 2009 Celebration - Dinner, dancing and dessert. Temple Emeth Shalom. 8 p.m. $40 pp. Casual attire. Call 822- 3940.
Jan. 24 — Sat. Chai CookOff - Iron Chef type competition with a kosher twist. 7 p.m. Three course gourmet meal so you can taste the food. Silent auction and music. $36 pp. Congregation Beth Judah. For more information, call 822-7116, ext. 102.
