Portraits of Survivors on exhibit at JCC
Stockton's Holocaust Resource Center is pleased to announce a portrait exhibit of 82 portraits of Holocaust Survivors of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The exhibit, "Portraits of Resilience: Holocaust Survivors of South Jersey," will be displayed at the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center, 501 North Jerome Ave., Margate from Nov. 10 to Dec.12, 2008.
The Holocaust Resource Center said the JCC kindly offered to host this portrait exhibit, which is free and open to the public. Tours of the exhibit will be available to school groups and organizations by reservation at 652-4699. This exhibit was made possible by a grant from the Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
A book/catalogue featuring the 82 portraits and narratives of the Holocaust survivors will be available. This book/catalogue was funded in part by The Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Milton and Betty Katz JCC of Margate and Stockton's Holocaust Resource Center are sponsoring docent training for the exhibit of 82 portraits of Holocaust Survivors of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The docent training will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at the JCC, 501 North Jerome Ave., Margate.
The exhibit organizers are looking for docent volunteers who enjoy speaking to small groups and want to learn more about the life stories of Holocaust survivors from Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Registration for docent training: 652-4699 or email: gail.rosenthal@stockton.edu
