ADELE DANCYGER, 78
      Adele Dancyger, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 12, 2008. She was 78. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph, a survivor of the Holocaust, in 2000. Adele attended Pratt University and she received her Teaching Certificate from Glassboro State College.

MARTIN NOVEK, 91
      Novek, Martin died Oct. 10 of complications from a broken hip. He was 91. Born Oct. 12, 1916, in Philadelphia, to Sarah and Sam Novek, he lived most of his adult life in Atlantic City and Margate. He became a policeman in 1942 as one of only 15 men to be appointed from hundreds of applicants.
