Joshua Kulp to speak at Beth Judah

Congregation Beth Judah of Ventnor will welcome Dr. Joshua Kulp this week as he delivers the Shabbat morning d'var torah, "Is Redemption at Hand?"

Dr. Kulp is one of the founders of the Conservative Yeshiva in Israel, serves on its faculty teaching Talmud and Rabbinics and also teaches Talmud and Halacha at the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the University of Judaism in Los Angeles and received his Ph.D. from Bar- Ilan University in Israel. He also is the coordinator of the Mishnah Yomit program for United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Joshua is the son of Cantor Emeritus Ed Kulp of Beth Judah and Linda S Kulp, executive director of the Board of Jewish Education. He resides in Modi'in, Israel, with wife Julie Zuckerman and children, Yadin, Zohar and Anan.
