Art exhibition 'Fragments' open at JCC
ABOVE: Gerry Seltzer with one of her paintings at the exhibition of her work at the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center. The paintings and prints of abstract expressionist artist Gerry Seltzer will be on display at the Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center in Margate from Aug. 18 through Aug. 30. The exhibition is entitled "Fragments," and is a comprehensive collection of acrylic paintings on canvas as well as original works on paper, all of which deal with a Holocaust theme.
There will be a reception on Aug. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m., and a Gallery Talk by Ms. Seltzer that evening at 8 p.m.
Ms. Seltzer's unique art has been shown widely in Northeastern United States and Florida, and her awards in juried competition include Second Prize from the American Color Print Society, a Memorial Award from the Cheltenham Art Center, and Best of Show from the Abington Art Center in suburban Philadelphia.
Florida juried venues include the Schacknow Museum in Coral Springs, and the Harid Music Conservatory of Lynn University in Boca Raton. Some of the artist's professional affiliations have included the American Color Print Society, The Cheltenham Printmakers Guild, and Women in the Visual Arts in south Florida.

The art will be on display during regular J.C.C. hours.
