"This is a win-win situation," said Marc Lowenstein, Federation's President. "David's experience both on the professional and on the volunteer side will serve the community very well. And his local friendships and connections are an asset as well," he said.

The trend to hire FRD professionals is relatively new. "When working with our larger contributors, it is logical to have meaningful conversations about both current and future needs," said Bob Seltzer, Federation's Executive Vice President. "We are pleased to have David on our team and look forward to celebrating many milestones with him."

Bob Mayer, chairman of the Foundation added, "David did an exceptional job as Chair of our 2008 Grants Committee. With his continued help in this new important role, our Foundation will grow and the community will benefit.

Schultz recently had been been appointed Foundation Grants Chairman by Foundation Chairman Judge Gerald Weinstein.

At the time of the appointment, Judge Weinstein said "We are delighted that David has agreed to assume this undertaking, which will fund creative, innovative projects and programs in our community. His past expertise in this process will help to improve the quality of life for many in our community."

Chairman Weinstein thanked Irv Yeagel for his leadership in chairing last year's Grants Committee. "Irv did an outstanding job and I am sure David will, once again, continue our history of excellence."
