Seashore Gardens Living Center, a nonprofit healthcare facility in Galloway, is bursting with energy from area teens ages 14 to 16 who are working and volunteering at the Living Center this summer. The teens, known by staff, residents, and family members as, the "Summer Sizzlers" work and volunteer with the recreation department during the summer. They are compensated for certain jobs like helping with office and administrative work, assisting with snacks and meals, and accompanying a resident on a stroll. Volunteer activities include taking decorating for parties, visiting with residents, and watering plants. "Together the residents and Sizzlers have fun and learn a lot from each other with this intergenerational program," said Missy Rundio, director of Recreation and Volunteers.
