It will feature little rubber ducks, racing for the Milton and Betty Katz JCC's Children's Scholarship Fund and the Shirley Mae Foundation. The JCC's First Annual Great Ducky Race, sponsored by Junior's Doughnuts & Dogs, will take place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 3rd, starting at the Washington Avenue Pier and ending at Junior's.

Rubber Duckies are just $5.00 each, and come with an adoption certificate and a souvenir Ducky to take home. Each Ducky will be numbered to correspond to the number on the adoption certificate. First Duckies to cross the finish line are the winners.

"What a fun fundraising event," said Lisa Brown, JCC Special Events Co-Chair. "Great prizes, inexpensive buyin, and souvenirs when the race is over. Everyone we've spoken to has wanted to participate."

First prize is a 37" flat screen HDTV. Second prize is a Baume & Mercier Hampton Spirit ladies watch (compliments of Bernie Robbins fine jewelers). Third prize is a $100 gift certificate to Steve and Cookie's By The Bay, Margate. Prizes 4 - 25 are many great items including gift certificates, hats, duffle bags and more.

Duckies are for sale at the JCC front desk, Junior's Doughnuts & Dogs, Margate; Ray Scott's Dock, Margate; Jamaican Me Crazy, Margate; Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers, Somers Point; Nix Salon, Margate; and Todd D'Paul Hair Stylists, Ventnor. The event is sponsored by Junior's Doughnuts & Dogs, Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers, Steve & Cookie's By The Bay, Coastal Physicians & Surgeons, & Ray Scott's Dock.
