Get Ready for the JCC Arts Camp's Superstar Summer!

This summer the Milton & Betty Katz JCC Arts Camp will be performing two fun filled shows for the camp and the community. Campers in grades 1-3, will perform Aesop's Fables, an upbeat musical version of the famous short stories we all know and love! The older Arts Camp group in grades 4-8 will present The Jungle Book! The jungle is jumpin' with jazz is this exciting Disney classic! Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wanna Be Like You."

In addition, The JCC Arts Camp's schedule is jam-packed with Broadway workshops, shows and even a visiting circus! Circus Minimus will be spending a week with the Arts Camp to teach campers how to become a circus performers! Whether it's juggling, acrobatics, or tight-rope walking, they will showcase their skills at the end of the week to the entire camp, friends and family!

Also, professionals from Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre will spend Fridays with the JCC Arts Camp teaching them acting techniques, improv skills and stage presence. Other workshops include: Sheldon Low, A Jewish rock musician, an African storyteller and a Middle- Eastern drummer!

Happy campers from years past at the JCC. Happy campers from years past at the JCC. The group will spend time in the Israel room learning about Israeli culture, song and history. In addition, Tal Mangold, one of the community Shaliachim, will teach the campers the art of Israeli dance!

The Arts camp will also take a trip to NYC to spend the day at Camp Broadway where campers will take workshops with professionals from the brand-new, critically acclaimed Broadway show The Little Mermaid!
