Beth El Sisterhood Mahjong
      Beth El Sisterhood will begin summer mahjong and other games beginning with a luncheon on Monday, July 14, at 11:30 am. Everyone is welcome to attend. The cost for the first week is $12 per person and includes tables for games and scrumptious luncheon. Each Monday after, July 21, 28th, Aug. 4, 11, 18th & 25th will be $3 per person and includes door prize drawings.

      Faye L. Shapiro will present the D'var Torah at Congregation Beth Judah on Saturday morning, July 5. Ms. Shapiro is a Genetic Counselor and Coordinator of the Victor Center for Jewish Genetic Diseases housed at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. Visitors invited to Beth Shalom in Brigantine
      All visitors and summer residents are invited to attend services at Temple Beth Shalom, "The Little Shul by the Sea, " in Brigantine. Beth Shalom is a conservative Synagogue led by Rabbi Gerald Fox. Services are held every Friday evening from 8PM to 9PM, followed by an Oneg Shabbat. In addition, Saturday services will be held on July 12, Aug. 9 and Sept. 13, from 10 a.m.

Chabad women's program
      Chabad is having a special women's program learning how to create jewelry using semi-precious stones, with local jewelry designer Whitney Ullman, at the Chabad House, 8223 Fulton Ave., Margate, Wednesday July 2, at 7 p.m. The cost $25, which includes lesson, materials, use of the tools and refreshments. Gilda's Club cocktails and fashion show
      Gilda's Club of South Jersey is having "Cocktails on the Bay- Encore" Saturday, June 28, at he home of Dennis and Barbara Gomes (address and directions will be provided upon RSVP, at 5:30 p.m. There will be cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music and a poolside fashion show. Gilda's Club South Jersey's Dragon Boat will be on display. Dress is casual.

Children's Bingo Returns to Beth Shalom
      For the 18th consecutive year, Temple Beth Shalom of Brigantine will be sponsoring children's Bingo nights, free to all local children and visitors ages 7 to 11 years of age. The fun begins on Thursday, July 10, 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will continue every Thursday evening until Aug. 28.

      There will be a Beth El Dinner and First Beach Service of the Summer on Friday, June 27. A Shabbat Chicken Dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Beach Service at Huntington Avenue at 7:45 p.m. The cost for the dinner, which must be prepaid, is $15. The community is invited. New member open house
      Temple Emeth Shalom will hold a new member open house and beach service at the Lancaster Avenue beach in Margate on Friday, July 25, at 7p.m. All are welcome to attend. Following the service there will be an Oneg at the Temple, 8501 Ventnor Ave., Margate. Bring your own beach chairs. In case of rain, services will be held indoors at the Temple.

Emeth Shalom's Memorial Book
      Temple Emeth Shalom's Memorial book is now open to the community. Nonmembers of the Temple who wish to honor their departed may now do so by inscribing their names in the annual Memorial Book. Charges are: $15 per two names, $35 for a quarter page, $55 for a half page and $100 for a full page. To list your loved ones names, call the Temple at 822-4343 by Aug. 20.

Get Ready for the JCC Arts Camp's Superstar Summer!
      This summer the Milton & Betty Katz JCC Arts Camp will be performing two fun filled shows for the camp and the community. Campers in grades 1-3, will perform Aesop's Fables, an upbeat musical version of the famous short stories we all know and love! The older Arts Camp group in grades 4-8 will present The Jungle Book!
