The adventure begins June 30, at the Milton & Betty Katz JCC's Camp By The Sea. Campers entering grades 4 - 6 will spend the summer visiting a variety of great places from Morey's Pier in Wildwood to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Noar Adventure Camp is always on the go! This year they will have the option to spend a five day/four night overnight week at the NJ Y Camps in the Poconos participating in sports clinics with Major League coaches and players!

Noar Campers participate in a variety of traditional camp activities including sports, karate, yoga, art and swim. This summer the JCC will take it up a notch and add rock climbing to their exciting curriculum, using the JCC's brand new indoor climbing wall. To stay cool, Noar campers spend 2 days a week at the Margate Beach, receiving surf lessons from Heritage Surf Shop and playing beach volleyball.

In addition, the Noar campers will have a taste of Judaism infused into their busy day with Israeli Dance, Israel Culture and Gaga (Israeli dodgeball). The Camp will celebrate an Israel week with middle eastern food, Hebrew songs and an Israel carnival. This summer Camp By The Sea will be hosting four Israeli Shlichim from Arad/Tamar who will teach the Noar campers about what life is like in Israel, culminating in a special Israel Army Day at Belleplain State Park.

Things will definitely heat up during week seven's Camp Maccabiah "Blue vs. White" Competition. During this five- day event everything in camp will become competitive as groups are divided into blue and white teams. Campers will show their ruach (spirit) for points culminating in a grand Survivor Style finale!

Fridays are special at Camp By The Sea and this summer there are many great special events for Noar campers including a performance from the Tsofim Friendship Scouts, a rock concert by Jewish musician, Sheldon Low and some inhouse fun with a Camper Lip Synch Show and Counselor Un-talent Competition. Afterwards, on Friday afternoon, Noar campers will participate in a fun, interactive Kabbalat Shabbat.
